Questions & Answers

A Cyberstamp is a limited-edition physical postage stamp paired with a digital collectible—a unique goat illustration generated from a combination of traits such as fur colors, jumpers, hats, glasses, and more. Each Cyberstamp unlocks a digital goat with its own rarity value, offering a fun and modern twist on traditional stamp collecting.

Each Guernsey Cyberstamp package includes:

  • One limited-edition Cyberstamp (Billy or Nanny).

  • One exclusive souvenir sheet featuring two official postage stamps. Each souvenir sheet is specially marked with one unique cancellation stamp — available only with these Cyberstamps.

Each Cyberstamp comes with an NFC chip and a QR code.
Simply scan the QR code or use the NFC function on your smartphone to reveal your unique goat, view its attributes, and check its rarity. You can also link your goat to your personal online collector album to view your collection in one place.

Near Field Communication (NFC) is a wireless technology standard that enables communication between two devices that are within close proximity of each other. The NFC technology opens up new possibilities for secure and easy verification of physical assets, such as collectables, artworks, and documents, in a world where the risk of counterfeiting is increasing.

With the Cyberstamp, we’ve embedded NFC microchip that lets you verify the authenticity of your stamp, by sending one-time messages that alters with each scan.

To use this NFC feature, simply activate the NFC function on your smartphone and hold your Cyberstamp close to your device. Your smartphone will detect the NFC chip and will show you if the stamp is genuine.

Yes! Guernsey Cyberstamps are official postage stamps issued by Guernsey Post.

Therefore, both the Cyberstamp and the additional limited-edition souvenir sheet stamps are produced for postal use in Guernsey.

To activate the digital collectible, simply scan the QR code on the back of the card with your mobile phone camera.

You can verify the authenticity of the stamp using the NFC scan function on your mobile phone. Activate the NFC-function in the settings of your Smartphone. Then hold it close to the stamp to scan it and open the pop-up message that appears.

Each digital goat collectible has a unique rarity, which is based on the attributes of the image. Each attribute has a rarity value. The rarity rating of the collectible is the combination of the rarity value of all its attributes.

The Collector Album is a digital platform where you can link and organize all your Cyberstamps and their digital goat collectibles under one account.
This feature makes it easy to manage your collection, view all your goats and their rarities in one place, and keep track of your unique finds.

No, Cyberstamps and their digital goats are designed as personal collectibles. They are not transferable. Each collectible is tied to the physical Cyberstamp. Therefore only the physical product can be traded.

The total circulation of the first Guernsey Cyberstamps are 15,000 stamps. This edition includes two variations “Nanny Goat” and “Billy Goat” with 7,500 stamps each.

In total, 30,000 souvenir sheets have been produced:

  • 7,500 in the Billy Cyberstamp packages feature a unique First Day of Issue (FDI) cancellation mark.

  • 7,500 in the Nanny Cyberstamp packages feature a unique First Day of Issue (FDI) cancellation mark.

  • The unique cancellation marks are different for both the Nanny and Billy products.

  • The remaining 15,000 souvenir sheets are available for individual purchase, are in mint condition and do not have any special cancellation marks.

Both the digital part and the physical product were produced in Austria by the brand Stampfinity. Stampfinity is led by a printing company that specialises in special stamps such as digital stamps.
